No more than an hour after I posted that last entry, I walked down to MASS MoCA to lunch with Dan at the picnic tables outside his office. We chatted with one of his coworkers, the one who loves Bix and borrowed our pasta machine last week. Turns out she’s holding a cheesemaking class this Friday evening as part of the regional sustainable living collective she belongs to, and she invited us to come along. (Right, the sustainable living collective she belongs to — yes, northwestern Massachusetts is amazing.)
Then, today I get a note in my inbox about this: the Massachusetts Campaign for Raw Milk Dairy Day, put on by the Northeast Organic Farming Association, during which the local public gets to taste raw milk cheeses and, better yet, buy raw milk. Legally. Five miles from my house. From a farmer.
I don’t believe in god, so I guess I have to just chalk this one up to that eavesdropping universe.
