This morning, I started my days as usual, with a hike in the woods with the dog, the green leaves dripping, the nearby hills misty and cool. Back home, perched in front of the computer, I heard tires peeling off the wet road outside our apartment, and, at the same time, birdsong from the giant tree above our yard. And then I glanced over my list of to-read blogs, the ones I wander over to in the morning, and I came across this quiet missive from the art of seeing things, up in the green hills of Vermont, a uncomplicated rendering of a few joyful, simple days, and then this — this kicker at the end:
i wanted to write this all down to remind myself that life is full even when there are obstacles, challenges. do not close your eyes. celebrate.
It’s a good one to remember. The art of seeing things, indeed.
