First there was Carhartts & Cocktails, but if that didn’t satiate your burning desire for locally-grown nibbles (it didn’t satiate mine), there’s Farmed & Foraged this weekend, May 21-23, throughout Berkshire County.
Farmed & Foraged is kind of a springtime local-foods bonanza — several restaurants are featuring prix-fixe menus of wild and locally cultivated foods.
At the helm of this event is none other than Berkshire Grown, who have posted full menus at their blog. For more details, there’s a longish article at Berkshire Living’s website, too. (I got a good locavore guffaw out of the title: “Berkshire Grown Ramps It Up with Farmed and Foraged.” Get it? Ramps it up? Har-har.)
This is a great opportunity to try out a new Berkshire County spot and to celebrate the very first spring harvests. Brunch, anyone?
